Leaders Romans Group (LRG) needed a modern, connected intranet to unify and boost engagement with their 3,350-strong team. Following a major rebrand, internal surveys revealed widespread frustration with their AWS-hosted intranet, poor document discovery, and overwhelming email volumes. To remedy this we implemented a SharePoint intranet that transformed internal comms, reduced risk and cut overheads. The LRG team saw better access to the information they need and significantly improved engagement from across the business
Managing 73,000 properties across 300 branches and 3,350 team members across the country, Leaders Romans Group (LRG) needed their communications to bring it all together. After undergoing an extensive rebrand project, LRG wanted to ensure their communications were cutting through the day-to-day noise and that the team felt connected wherever they were. The team conducted a review of the performance of their internal comms and found the engagement on their existing solution wasn’t where they needed it to be.
Internal engagement surveys revealed a frustration with the existing intranet, finding it difficult to use, rating content discoverability low and an overreliance of email communications. Team members reported feeling overwhelmed with email communications and were struggling to keep up with important updates.
Although Microsoft 365 tools were in place across the business, they found they weren’t being leveraged effectively or seeing the full return on their investment.
LRG’s existing intranet was hosted in AWS, which was out of step with the rest of the technology stack. Additionally, it was becoming a maintenance headache as it had been managed by a single developer who had since left the business. LRG’s team knew they needed to bring their intranet back in line with the rest of the business, cut unnecessary costs and reduce risk with a new solution.
With documents fragmented across SharePoint, legacy file shares and OneDrive, LRG’s team found document management and discovery a significant challenge. With vital documents hidden amongst an unclear file structure, the team knew they needed to take a fresh look at their document discovery.
With ambitious plans to enhance employee experience, LRG’s leadership knew they needed a more engaging, cohesive and cost-effective solution, quickly.
We worked with Leaders Romans Group to design and deliver a modern, SharePoint-based intranet that would support their goals for engagement, usability and strategic alignment with Microsoft 365. The first step was delivering some quick wins, starting with a high-impact landing page to start bringing value to the team within the first quarter.
Our solution was delivered quickly, tailored to the unique needs of LRG:
With a strong focus on adoption, we collaborated closely with HR and IT teams to ensure the rollout would resonate across departments, from estate agents on the high street to support staff behind the scenes.
Leaders Romans Group now has a modern intranet experience that reflects the brand, reduces complexity, and sets the stage for long-term transformation.
While still in early phases, the business is already seeing promising signs of:
