With the introduction of the GDPR and general higher profile of good data security processes, Jewish Care wanted to implement a process to manage data breaches, ensuring that they are dealt with quickly and efficiently.
SharePoint lists and views could be used to build a solution, but a greater level of control was needed to ensure that users could only update information that related to their stage of review.
PowerApps was used to create a series of forms that would allow a data breach to be notified, and then go through various stages of investigation and resolution. As each stage is completed, Automate manages sending messages to people who need to be aware of what is happening, and to those who need to action the next stage in the process.
By using PowerApps, we can ensure that any information that is entered cannot be changed once it is saved, creating a higher level of integrity than would be able to be achieved otherwise.
Jewish Care now have a simple process for the recording and management of data breaches. This system could easily be modified to manage similar process, such as accidents and health and safety breaches.
Because the PowerApp can be accessed through their SharePoint Online Intranet, it is easily accessible by anybody in their workforce.
Transparity have supported Jewish Care with their Office 365 and SharePoint Online implementations for a number of years, building a SharePoint Online Intranet using The Hub intranet accelerator, and creating a number of cloud-based business apps.
